We seek an experienced salads and vegetable Sales & Procurement professional with a portfolio of suppliers to join our wholesale trading team.

To lead the team re salad/vegetable products
Summary of Key Tasks
Create a ÂŁ2m turnover within 1 year of joining Greencell and build to ÂŁ5m within 2 years
To further establish supplier base within France, Spain, Italy, Portugal and Morocco and Egypt.
To establish customer base
Assist in the creation and management of a portfolio of suppliers worldwide
Demonstrate an understanding of and sympathy with highly perishable products and to ensure due diligence in all transactions
Establish effective working relationships with suppliers in order clearly to communicate and effect Greencell’s specific customer requirements
Deal directly with exporters, growers, shipping agents, UK distribution agencies and customers
Plan and manage stock, estimating demand and ordering stock
Arrange the transportation of produce from source to customer – maximize direct loads and loading (full trucks at source)
Work closely with the wholesale team to ensure continuous supply and a comprehensive portfolio
Inputting, collating and analysis of data to assist procurement and sales teams where necessary
Use communication/negotiation and diplomatic skills to “problem solve” with suppliers and customers and to achieve swift resolution of perceived issues
Create Westfalia Brand in salads/vegetables
Customer and supplier visits as and when necessary
Manage time and resources to complete tasks most efficiently and to work autonomously when required
