We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our accounts team to cover for maternity leave from 20/7/09 for a period of 6 months.
The successful candidate will have proven Credit Control experience ideally gained within an FMCG. You will have good communication skills, both written and verbal, and be a real team player. A good understanding of Excel is essential.
Key Responsibilities
The control and maintenance of our sales ledger records and ensuring that all customers pay promptly in accordance with our agreed terms of payment.
Summary of Key Tasks
Ensuring customers pay invoices in a timely manner.
Collecting outstanding and overdue invoices by means of statements, 7 days letters, facsimiles, telephone calls or email.
Maintaining information on outstanding queries and facilitating a solution.
Allocating payments received to customer accounts
Reviewing aged debt and escalating potential issues where appropriate.
Ensuring the customer information within our data is accurate and up-to-date.
Liaising with credit insurers to maintain appropriate credit limits for customers.
Management of claims, debit notes and rebates.
Raising credit notes.
Sending invoices electronically via EDI.
Posting of company credit card and payroll expenses.
